Los Angeles - UPI

Actress Lena Dunham applauded Kathy Griffin's decision to quit Fashion Police on Friday, a day after the comedian announced her departure from the E! show.
"Congrats to my beautiful friend Kathy Griffin for bravely saying enough is enough to intolerance of all kinds on television," Dunham captioned an old photo of Griffin sporting a pair of Mickey Mouse ears on Instagram. "She's modeling a better way for the youths (and working those ears.)"
Griffin, 54, said in a tweet Thursday she quit the red-carpet analysis program after only seven episodes because she "discovered that [her] style does not fit with the creative direction of the show and now it's time to move on."
Her departure comes weeks after Fashion Police panelist Kelly Osbourne decided to leave the show, purportedly over comments made by co-panelist Giuliana Rancic about Zendaya's dreadlocks at the Oscars.
Griffin joined the show in January to fill in for the late Joan Rivers. E! confirmed her departure in a statement and said the show would continue as scheduled with Rancic, Brad Goreski and executive producer Melissa Rivers.
