David Ayer is taking precautions to keep the cast of Suicide Squad safe from themselves.
The director hired an on-set therapist to help the actors deal with their creative process and making sure they don't lose themselves in their roles.
Adam Beach who plays Slipnot in the movie told E! News, "David Ayer is about realism, so if your character is tormented, he wants you to torment yourself. He wants the real thing."
"We kind of have like a therapist on board if you fall off the wagon and really are villainous. There's a friend of [Ayer's] that's very unique in making sure we have our ground." Beach continued, "Us actors explore very fine thin lines going to the dark side and he wants to make sure we finish a movie and don't disappear somewhere and then don't show up for work."

One cast member in particular is already taking his role very seriously. Jared Leto, who has been known for his method antics acting tactics while filming a movie, sent his cast mates Margot Robbie and Will Smith a rat, a dead hog and bullets.
Leto chose not to join the cast during the preparations for the film and the gifts were sent along with a video. "Basically, what he said was, 'Guys, I can't be there but I want you to know I'm doing my work as hard as you guys,'" Beach revealed. "The video he showed is in character. It blew our minds away. Then we realized that day, this is real."
