Zhang Ziyi produces her \"Lucky Star\"

Actress Zhang Ziyi is getting her hands back on film producing. Her new romantic comedy is titled \"My Lucky Star\". Zhang will produce and star in the film, according to reports in the Beijing News. \"New York Minute\" director Dennie Gordon will direct the film, with other cast members to be announced later. Zhang will work with the newly founded Village Roadshow Entertainment Group Asia, which is billing itself as a platform between the Chinese film industry and Hollywood. In 2009, Zhang released her first film as producer, \"Sophie\'s Revenge\", starring herself and South Korean actor So Ji-sub. The film performed well at the box offices, and turned then little-known director Jin Yimeng a popular name. The actress was also supposed to co-produce Wayne Wang\'s \"Snow Flower and the Secret Fan\", but eventually quit the project during the production phase.
