At least seven persons were killed and 20 others injured on Tuesday afternoon when a triple blast hit a cinema in Pakistan's northwestern provincial capital of Peshawar, local media reported. According to the reports, the incident took place when people were watching movie in the Shama Cinema in the downtown area of Peshawar, provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Police and rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the bodies and injured to the Lady Reading Hospital in the city. Rescue workers said the death toll may rise further as many of the injured are in critical condition while many injured spectators are still trapped inside the cinema. Nature of the blast is not known yet. No group or militant organization claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
