At least eight people were killed and several others injured when some unknown gunmen sprayed bullets on a passenger van in Pakistan's southwest Quetta city on Thursday morning, local media reported.
Dunya TV said that the unknown militants ambushed and targeted the van when it was passing by Hazar Ganji area of Quetta, the capital city of the country's southwest Balochistan province.
The attackers fled the scene following the firing while the injured people have been shifted to Bolan Medical Complex.
Identities of the killed people have not been determined yet.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
Paramilitary troops cordoned off the area for investigations.
