At least 13 suspected militants were killed due to air strikes carried out by Pakistani fighter jets in North Waziristan tribal region of Pakistan bordering Afghanistan on Tuesday, said military.
According to public relations wing of Pakistan military, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the air strikes were carried out early morning in the Degan area of North Waziristan during the military operation Zarb e Azb.
Military sources claimed that seven militants' hideouts were destroyed and 13 militants including foreigners were killed in air strikes in Degan.
The air strike came just a day after the Chief of Army Staff; General Raheel Sharif visited the troops in the front line in North Waziristan.
Over 410 militants including many foreigners have been killed so far during the comprehensive operation launched in the tribal region to eliminate terrorism.
