Unidentified miscreants Tuesday evening hurled two hand grenades in front of a base of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in the port city of Karachi, injuring at least one person, the PAF spokesman said. The hand grenades were lobbed near the flyover in front of Shahra-e-Faisal Air Baseat about 07:15 p.m. local time, during busy traffic hours, the PAF spokesman said in a statement. "One pedestrian got injured at the exit end of flyover, who was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for first aid," he said. He said the security agencies are in full control of the situation and are carrying out thorough investigation of the incident through all available means including CCTV footage. "The security on all PAF Air Bases is already on high alert," the spokesman said. No group claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
