At least 17 people were killed and many others wounded in an operation by security forces, hitting the militants\' hideout in Kurram Agency, tribal area of northern Pakistan bordering Afghanistan, media reported early on Thursday. According to the media reports, the Pakistani jets destroyed four suspected militant hideouts, killing at least 17 people and injuring several others in Kaurram\'s Tabay area. Kurram is one of the seven Pakistan\'s Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) that has been ruled and governed by tribal laws. Security forces of Pakistan have been carrying the operation in Kurram Agency against the suspected militants since last month. Several strongholds were destroyed and over 100 suspected militants were killed during the operation.
