At least 10 Taliban militants were killed on Friday during a security operation for the Pakistani military near Dera Ghazi Khan in Punjab region, northeastern Pakistan.
Military and intelligence agencies carried out the joint operation against suspected militants, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
The militants were present in a hideout when security forces raided it and killed at least 10 suspects. Three paramilitary troops were killed in the operation.
The Pakistani military has been conducting a sweeping offensive to eliminate militant groups following a string of terror attacks in the country in February.
