At least 29 militants were killed by Pakistani security forces over the last 24 hours in northwest Pakistan. Security sources said that the Pakistani security forces launched two operations in Upper Orakzai and Khyber tribal regions north west of the country, killing 29 armed men. The sources pointed out that the first operation was conducted in Arghanju, Saparsok and Tambo Sar in Upper Orakzai where the security forces bombed three militant hideouts and killed nine of them. The second operation took place in the area of Jamrud in Khyber. 20 militants were killed while four of their positions were blown away.
