An operation on Friday by security forces killed 23 suspected militants in Pakistan's tribal area bordering Afghanistan. Eight militants were killed and three hideouts destroyed during the operation in Orakzai Agency, security sources told KUNA. Security sources in Tirah valley of Khyber Agency announced that ten militants were killed during a security forces operation while several were injured. Three militant hideouts were also destroyed. According to local media reports, the suspected militants were a part of the banned organization Lashkare Islam. The number of militants killed Friday rose to 23 in addition to scores others injured.
