Libyan army forces managed to take control of parts of Hawwari area in Benghazi after fierce clashes with the terrorist group Daesh.
A Libyan military source said on Sunday battles with heavy and medium weapons took place in the area, pointing out that the Libyan forces made achievements and are still besieging some Daesh pockets.
The source said the Libyan army forces managed to liberate the cement factory in the area from the grip of the terrorists and pounded with artillery the positions of the militants.
Libya has been in a state of chaos since the ouster of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.
