Head of Libya's presidency council Fayez Seraj hailed efforts exerted by the Libyan army, who fights Daesh terrorist group and its supporters in Benghazi.
Seraj, meanwhile, urged the African Union and the international community to take immediate measures to lift arms embargo on Libya and provide the necessary technical aid to the North African country, said the media bureau of the Libyan presidency council.
Serja's remarks came during a speech he delivered at the high-level committee meeting for heads of African Union countries and the neighboring countries on Libya, which was held in Congo Brazzaville.
He further said that combating terrorism requires establishing a unified military institution.
