The Iraqi army launched airstrikes on areas in western Nineveh Governorate in northern Iraq, killing 33 ISIS militants.
According to the Iraqi Defense Ministry, the airstrikes hit strongholds for the ISIS militants in areas western of Nineveh who were targeting security forces.
Meanwhile, the Iraqi security forces took strict measures in anticipation of possible attacks in Baqubah, north east of Iraq.
A security source said that the measures were taken after receiving information about an intention of the ISIS group to target "Al Khalis" town in the city with car bombs.
