Iraqi forces started on Tuesday a military operation to liberate Al Shirqat town in northern Salahaddin province from Daesh group.
The military media cell of Salahuddin Operations Command said that the Iraqi forces re-took two villages in Al Shirqat town.
The Iraqi troops also managed to destroy a convoy of Daesh terrorists west of Mosul city.
Al-Shirqat is a Sunni Arab town west of the Tigris in Salahaddin province.
