Iraqi forces on Friday morning repelled a major counter-attack by Daesh terrorists on the northern city of Kirkuk, killing many of them.
A curfew has been imposed to hunt down terrorists who are still on the run.
Dozens of Daesh terrorists and suicide bombers attacked vital facilities, sites and outposts of Iraqi security in Kirkuk with grenades and opened fire.
As Iraqi security established complete control over Kirkuk, additional military reinforcements were sent, the Command of the Joint Iraqi Forces said on Friday.
