Iraqi cleric Moqtada al-Sadr condemned on Friday the Iraqi government over it security reaction against protests.
In a press release, he said "terrorism and governmental violence were comnitted against peaceful protesters via opening fire and firing teargas bombs at them."
He asserted that he respects the “peaceful and spontaneous revolution” and urged the Iraqi government to immediately release the detainees.
