Prominent Syrian singer Saber Rebai met with Lebanese artist Ziad Bourji during his recent trip to Dubai at the ‘Golden Star’ studios to listen to a new composition created by Ziad. Saber is in Dubai to choose songs for his upcoming Khaliji (Gulf) album, although he has not yet given a title to the song that will be sung in the Lebanese dialect. According to the London based Elaph, Saber had listened to a number of Ziad’s compositions over the phone and insisted on meeting him in person in Dubai to hopefully reach an agreement for one of his songs. Saber said that Ziad is a very talented musician and he strongly believes there will be numerous projects between them. “I discovered that Ziab possess a rich collection of songs and I am very optimistic about the outcome of our cooperation,” said Saber. Ziad said that he is honored to work with Saber and this is a major step forward in his career. The song Ziad will compose for Saber is written by lyricist Ahmed Madi.Ziad revealed that he will soon work with Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel Wahab, whom he appeared with on the entertainment show ‘Taratata’. Ziad said that he is honored Sherine will sing one of his compositions. Ziad also revealed that there will be a new project between him and prominent Syrian singer George Wassouf.
