The UAE has participated in the second edition of the international opera show organised by Fundacao Oriente (Oriental Foundation).
Artist Jasim Mohammed Abdullah Haider, director of the Music Centre in Ajman, took part in the event. The UAE Embassy in Portugal, led by Acting Charge d'affaires of the Embassy in Portugal, Saleh Al Theeb Al Humairi, also took part in the event.
A number of opera singers from six European countries including Greece, Luxembourg, Sweden and the Portugal, the organising country, participated.
It is noteworthy, the UAE is the only participant Arab country in the event which witnessed the presence of members of Arab diplomatic corps.
Organisers extended thanks to Al Humairi for the efforts by the UAE diplomatic mission which contributed to the success of the event. They also expressed their desire to renew cultural co-operation with the UAE
