At least 15 civilians, including three teenagers, were killed in Syrian regime's air raids on the Syrian town of Douma, Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said on Friday.
Those people died at a time when eight raids were launched by the Syrian regime in several districts of the town, 13km northeast of Damascus, the SOHR said, adding that the strikes caused causalities as well.
"The toll is expected to rise as some injured have critical conditions," it noted.
The SOHR pointed out that this is the second massacre committed by the Syrian regime within the last 24 hours against civilians in Damascus where 22 others, including three children and two women, were killed on Thursday.
In a related development, the SOHR documented the killing of 40 militants, including 33 from the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) over the last three days in Deir Al-Zour, east of Syria.
The observatory said that the Syrian regime's troops renewed its attacks on some areas in the same city; however, no causalities were reported.
According to the observatory, the ISIL attacked a school in the city controlled by the regime.
