Some 691 who got involved in the recent events in the country had their files settled Sunday.
The authorities settled the files of 675 gunmen form the northern countryside of Daraa, helped by the efforts of the national reconciliation committees in the province.
Representative of the National Reconciliation Committee in the southern region Dr. Mazen Hamidi said the settlement and reconciliations are expected to gather pace in the coming few days in Daraa.
Hundreds of those who have been misled into getting involved in unlawful acts in the province are due to be assimilated in society again following a legislative decree that granted a pardon for the crimes committed prior to June 9, 2014, he added.
A Police Command source in Idleb said the authorities settled the files of 16 gunmen in the provinces after they pledged not to commit any act that could affect the security of the homeland and citizens in the future.
The new settlement of status brings to 90 the number of people who have had their files settled in Idleb after the issuance of the amnesty decree, the source said.
Meanwhile, a total 76 people have given themselves up to authorities to have their files settled in Damascus, Damascus countryside, Lattakia and Tartous.
