The Russian center for Syrian reconciliation at the Hmeimim airbase registered a total of nine violations of the ceasefire regime in Syria in the last 24 hours, Sputnik News quoted the Russian Defense Ministry as saying on Saturday.
"The cessation of hostilities in Syria has been respected in most of the Syrian provinces. However, a total of nine violations of the ceasefire regime have been registered, including four — in the Latakia province and five — in the Damascus province," the ministry said in a daily bulletin posted on its website.
The militants of Ahrar ash-Sham shelled government forces from mortars and multiple launch rocket systems in the settlements of Sandran, al-Fahhara, Rasha and Shmaisa.
"In the Damascus province, units of Jaysh al-Islam opposition grouping performed mortar shelling against Jaubar, al-Maliha, Marj Sultan, Arbil and Adra," the bulletin revealed.
The number of ceasefire application forms signed with leaders of armed groupings has reached 51, it added.
The Russia-US brokered ceasefire regime in Syria came into force on February 27.
