Egypt's agriculture mininster

the ministers of agriculture and irrigation announced on Sunday that the first phase of the national project to reclaim four million feddans nationwide would be implemented at the beginning of 2015.
The aim behind reclaiming the four million feddans is to provide more agricultural lands, establishing fully integrated agriculture, industrial and service areas as well as securing greater job openings.
Agriculture Minister Adel El Beltagy said that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi ordered that the first phase of the project to be established in one year instead of three years.
The project's first phase, which would cost EGP 11 billion, should be completed with high quality performance according to Sisi's directions.
The project is divided into three phases, the first and second phases are concerned with reclaiming two million feddans while the three phase is related to reclaiming two million acres in a number of areas, El Beltagy added.
