Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab asserted on Monday that the government is working on providing all necessary capabilities to end the accumulation of garbage in streets.
He was addressing a meeting with the ministers of local development, supply, planning, urban development, health, manpower, social solidarity, international cooperation, vocational and training and education.
The governors of Cairo, Giza and Qalyoubia were also present.
During the meeting, Urban development Minister Laila Iskander presented a reported on a national program on public cleanliness.
He recommended an integrated system to be applied to make best use of available resources to achieve the plan's aim.
Her recommendation was initially approved by the cabinet.
