Minister of Local Development Ahmed Zaki Badr said the total investment allocations for implementing a program on improving the environment during the current fiscal have reached EGP 1.02 billion.
In press statements on Sunday, the minister said the plan focuses on road and pavement reconstruction, street lighting and improving the environment particularly as regards getting rid of garbage in coordination with all the bodies concerned.
Some EGP 305 million were allocated for Marsa Matrouh, EGP 51.7 million for Assiut, EGP 49.2 million for Sohag, EGP 47.7 million for Fayyoum, EGP 41.2 million for Sharqiya, EGP 40.4 million for Menoufia, EGP 39.4 million for Giza, EGP 39 million for Gharbiya, EGP 38 million for Qena, EGP35.6 million for Menya, EGP30.8 million for Beni Sueif, EGP 27.8 million for Damietta and EGP 27.6 million for Beheira, the minister said.
