Moscow - Arab Today
First Deputy CEO for Operations Management of Russia's State Atomic Energy Corporation (ROSATOM) Kirill Komarov said Tuesday Egypt was the first Middle Eastern country to take steps toward making benefit from nuclear energy, before other countries, including Jordan, Jordan Saudi Arabia, the UAE and even African states take similar steps.
An agreement signed between the governments of Egypt and Russia late last year for the establishment of a nuclear reactor in Dabaa states that Russia would help Egypt in the construction, training, operation and finance, Komarov told reporters on the sidelines of the ATOMEXPO 2016 International Forum in Moscow, the largest meeting of world leaders and experts on nuclear power.
We are ready to provide the same experience for all Arab and African countries, he added.
