Technical talks are taking place for the establishment of a nuclear power plant in Egypt with a number of countries, Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker said.
The latest was a meeting with Russia’s State Nuclear Energy Corporation (ROSATOM) to provide 4,800 megawatts of electricity, he said.
Financial talks on the project will be held soon, Shaker told MENA in a videoed interview.
No energy alternatives for generating electricity will be excluded, he said.
