A Brazilian court will soon reverse a ruling that blocked smartphone message service WhatsApp for 24 hours, the company said Tuesday.

"The service should be freed up in a short time," a spokesman for WhatsApp, which is hugely popular in Brazil, told AFP. The service was blocked by a judge on Monday in response to the company's alleged failure to cooperate with a police investigation into a drug gang that sent messages via WhatsApp.
