Northern Ireland will receive an additional £1.0 billion (1.1 billion euros, $1.3 billion) from the British state as part of a deal to prop up Prime Minister Theresa May's Conservative government.

"We welcome this financial support of £1.0 billion over the next two years," said Arlene Foster, head of Northern Ireland's Democratic Unionist Party which will be supporting the Conservatives.
