Under the patronage of First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) and President of the Bahrain Athletics Association Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the seventh edition of the World Robot Olympiad is to be launched on April 19. Coming within the #Khalid_bin_Hamad_science_initiatives, organised by AMA International School in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the events will be held for two days, in the hall of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa confirmed that continuous holding of this scientific event reflects its success in achieving pioneering educational goals by tapping on the creativity and innovation of the Bahraini youth and backing the educational movement in Bahrain.
"Through this event, we look forward to promoting values of creativity and innovation by pushing the youth to put forward creative and innovative ideas, presenting their inventions which contribute to the development of their educational levels, supporting the growth of educational outcomes, bringing benefit by forming a generation of creative and innovative youth, who can carry the banner of growth and development in various sectors in the country," Shaikh Khalid said.
The World Robot Olympiad, organised by AMA International School over the past six years, has managed to achieve many goals and aspirations drawn by Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for the care and support of creative Bahraini youth, and awareness of the importance of modern education outcomes by promoting creative and innovative ideas that contribute to the development of the educational movement in the Kingdom. This event contributes to the development of the educational skills of students, giving them the opportunity to launch their creations and to expand their knowledge and acquire experiences, learning about the principles of modern science in school activities related to science and technology.
