The stage is set at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) for an action-packed National Race Day, taking place Friday and Saturday at "The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East" in Sakhir
Five highly competitive championships will be taking to the tarmac this race weekend, and fans are invited to watch every minute of the action.
Racing along BIC’s 2.55-kilometre Inner Track will be the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East, the TCR Middle East Series, the BIC 2,000cc Challenge, the Bahrain Superbike Championship (BSBK) and the Bahrain Motorcycle Racing (BMR) 600.
Action will take place from 9am until a little after 5pm on both days. Tickets are available at the gate. They cost BD2 each for both days of racing. Meanwhile, those who have already purchased their tickets to the 2017 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix can attend National Race Day for free.
The Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East will be holding the fifth and penultimate round of its 2016/2017 season this meeting. The field of competitors already began their programme today with tests. There is then one race each day on the weekend timetable – race one on Friday is scheduled for 4.30pm, while race two on Saturday will be at 3pm.
TCR is running its maiden Middle East Series, and this round is the third and final one of the season. It following events in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Both races are on Saturday – race one has a 12.02pm start, followed by race two at 3.45pm.
The BIC 2,000cc Challenge will be holding the fifth round of the season, with both races also on Saturday. Race one is scheduled to start at 12.46pm while race two begins at 4.26pm.
The BSK will mark the fifth and penultimate round of the season. Both races are Saturday, with the first at 10.50am followed by the second at 2.20pm.
Rounding out the events, the BMR 600 riders are set to battle in two categories: the Superstock Series and the Hornet Series. Both races flag off Saturday, with race one at 10.25am and race two at 1.55pm.
