Egyptian actor, Khaled el-Sawy revealed to Arabstoday the reason behind postponing "Ala Kaf Afriet" (on the palm of a ghost) series, was that the project was a very long one work and needs extra care and not to be hurried. "Khatem Suleiman" (Solomon's ring) will not be repeated. He also added that his psychological state is very bad due to the ongoing events in Egypt, and that he is willing to complete the work when he is relaxed and his psychological state gets better. El-Sawy said: "some say Kinda Allouch is the main reason behind this postponement, but this is untrue. However, she is in a bad psychological state due to what is happening in Syria and we acknowledge that". He also denied the rumour that filming has been postponed, because the production includes obscene scenes, saying that it does not include any scenes which may cause embarrassment to the viewer. As for the timing of releasing the series, el-Sawy said: "the time has not been set yet, once shooting is completed we'll decide that", adding that it may be aired after Ramadan or the following year. Regarding the current events and the decisions of the Constitutional Court, he said the reason behind these decisions is that the youth of the revolution have backtracked from their main demands. "If the result was for the favour of Shafiq or Morsi, it would be catastrophic", he said "there must have been a strong front for the revolution youth to represent one opinion, but unfortunately all of us are divided".
