Egyptian actor Sherif Mounir was almost robbed by unidentified thugs on the sets of his show "Al Saffaa" (The Slap). “Actually, until now we don’t know whether thugs really sneaked and merged in with the crew or whether it was just a fight...I think it was just a fight, and it is under investigation now,” he told Arabstoday. He added: “While shooting 'Al Saffaa', I was surprised when huge fight erupted between many members of the crew...so I calmed down the situation with the help of the team my and my secretary, who was hurt but now is fine...I had a small cut in my hand but it’s gone.” He continued: “Unfortunately, as usual the press exaggerated things. Now I continue shooting and I’m fine, and it is not true that I got surgery in my back; I was at home at the time!” He explained “I’m shooting ‘Al Saffaa' and I need my fans to pray for its success, and that we finish it soon.” About the differnces between his role in differences "The Slap" with the movie "Cousins" (Awlad El Amm), he said: “I intentionally chose to appear with a new look, so that fans wouldn’t link my character in 'Al Saffaa' and the other one in ‘Cousins’, as in 'Al Saffaa' I’m playing a Jewish person, who is being tempted by Mossad to be recruited in order to get them military information.” He continued: “I’m very comfortable working with scriptwriter Ahmed Abdel Fattah, especially after the success of both my shows with him "Qalb Mayet" (Dead Heart) and "Barra el Donia" (Out of the World).” Mounir last appeared in "Out of the World" with child actor Laila Ahmed Zaher two years ago.
