The Young and the Restless is heading into next month's Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony with a leading 26 nominations, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has announced. At a distant second with 18 nods is The Bold and the Beautiful, followed by General Hospital with 16, Sesame Street with 15, Days of Our Lives with 14 and The Ellen DeGeneres Show with nine. In the running for the Outstanding Drama Series Emmy are The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives, One Life to Live and The Young and the Restless. The nominees for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series are Peter Bergman, Doug Davidson, Christian LeBlanc and Billy Miller -- all from Y&R -- and Jason Thompson from GH. Vying for the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series title are Melissa Claire Egan, Amelia Heinle and Elizabeth Hendrickson -- all from Y&R -- and Jane Elliot and Kelly Sullivan from GH. Up for Outstanding Pre-School Children's Program are Dino Dan, The Fresh Beat Band, Sesame Street and Yo Gabba Gabba! Shortlisted for Outstanding Game Show are The American Bible Challenge, The Chase, Jeopardy!, Let's Make a Deal, The Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune. Nominated for Outstanding Informative Talk Show are The Chew, The Dr. Oz Show, Dr. Phil and Steve Harvey. Competing in the Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show category are The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Live! with Kelly and Michael, Rachael Ray, The Talk and The View. Winners of the awards, which recognize excellence in daytime television, will be announced June 22 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.
