An official of the Meteorological Department said the Kingdom of Bahrain and other countries with coastlines on the Arabian Gulf would be affected by a strong dust-raising northwesterly wind for a few days starting Thursday, 7 December.
The same source added the minimum temperature will fall below 14 degrees Celsius during the night and early morning hours with partly cloudy skies.
He advised sea goers to exercise caution against unsettled weather conditions.
He attributed the unstable weather to the movement of a high altitude low pressure front toward the northern areas of the Arabian Peninsula and the Arabian Gulf.
He said the average high and low temperatures in December are 22.3-16.2 degrees Celsius respectively, the average rainfall in December is 10.9 mm and the highest rainfall recorded was 119.6 mm in 2006.
