For those looking to extend that indulgent Spa experience, enjoy a leisurely pre-dinner soak or set the scene for a romantic after-dinner soirée, The Island Spa’s new Bath Ritual Menu at Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa has got it all covered with 13 exclusive aromatherapy baths for women, men, couples and children, prepared in the comfort of one’s guestroom or suite. And in keeping with its reputation for innovation, an Island Spa Bath Ritual is so much more than a blend of warm water and pure essential oils. Take Cleopatra’s Secret, a healing combination of milk and natural extracts complemented by a pumpkin pulp and egg white face mask, honey and brown sugar exfoliating scrub, olive oil hair mask, selection of Egyptian delights and fresh carrot juice. Or the rose, seaweed, arnica, mint and rosemary Dynamic Detox Cleanse, complemented by herbal loofah soap, peppermint face towel, ginger root lomi-lomi drink and vegetable crudités. Temple Calm, a rebalancing masculine soak featuring earthy sandalwood and cedar wood, comes with black rice soap bar, glass of Hennessey cognac and even a fine cigar, while the juicy kid’s Raspberry Razzmatazz is infused with mango, raspberry and rose, and served with a mango and raspberry mocktail. “Baths are such a powerful mode of relaxation and reconnection,” explains The Island Spa’s Assistant Spa Manager Cassandra Forrest. “We wanted to give guests the opportunity to indulge beyond a normal soak, with a host of extras to help create a really beneficial and memorable experience.” Baths are run by an Island Spa Bath Butler at a pre-arranged time, between 10:00 am and 10:00 pm, and include decorative elements and tailored refreshments. The Island Spa is a timeless haven of tranquility and repose: a tiny isle in the vast Indian Ocean, dedicated to purity and renewal. Just a minute’s sail across Kuda Huraa’s sparkling lagoon, the holistic Spa melds time-honoured Asian traditions and all-natural Sodashi products with innovative approaches for men, women and children. In addition to the Bath Rituals Menu, highlights include: the Night Spa, offering open-air lunar rituals under the tropical night sky; the Kuda Spa Menu, with 12 interactive treatments that see kids as young as six blending their own massage oils, activating “magic” lava shells and learning how to play Tibetan Singing Bowls; dedicated men’s treatments including the Renewal Men’s Ritual; and multi-day spa programs focusing on detoxification, rejuvenation and romantic pampering.
