Dubai Land Department, DLD, recently held a ceremony in honour of the first generation of real estate brokers who were the earliest supporters of the emirate’s property market and have played a fundamental role in boosting activity in this sector.
Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director-General of DLD, was present at the event organised by the Real Estate licensing Department at Real Estate Regulatory Agency, RERA, and the ceremony was also attended by department directors, brokers and many DLD employees.
Bin Mejren praised the important role played by real estate brokers over the past decades, particularly the first generation, saying, "Such events contribute to highlighting the achievements of the older generation of real estate brokers. It is our duty to honour them for the outstanding contributions they have made, as it is thanks to their hard work, dedication and integrity that our real estate sector has achieved international prestige. They are all inspiring role models for professionals working in this field today."
Marwan bin Ghulaita, CEO of RERA, the regulatory arm of DLD, said, "This ceremony is a tribute to the pioneers who, through their exceptional leadership, consolidated the position of our real estate market both regionally and globally. Since the establishment DLD, the first generation of real estate brokers has worked honestly and faithfully, setting the perfect example for future brokers and laying solid foundations for all work in this field."
The real estate brokers who were honoured at the event included Mariam Abdul Rahim Abdulrahman, Salim Abdul Latif Mustafa, Ali Obaid Khalfan Al Busheh Al Muhairi, Ali Mohammad Hassan Ahli, Mizar Saif Suhail Al Marri and Wakil Mohammed Ali Waheed Ali.
