An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale jolted 15km NW of Uto, Japan at 2016-08-31 21:33:50 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 32.7657 degrees north latitude and 130.5299 degrees east longitude.
