New York - MENA
US President Barack Obama on Tuesday called on the United Nations member states to act together to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases in a bid to halt the climate change.
Speaking at the United Nations climate summit, Obama said that the United States had cut its carbon-dioxide emissions "more than any other nation on Earth" over the last eight years, adding "But, we have to do more".
“Today I call on all countries to join us, not next year or the year after that, but right now. Because no nation can meet this global threat alone", he added.
