Dehydration is one of the ailments related to summer and doctors have advised to drink more water and juices of fruits like watermelon to keep the body hydrated. Skin specialist at Doctors Clinic in Dubai, Dr P Satish Kumar and ENT Specialist Dr Chithra Shamsudeen in Sharjah spoke about illnesses caused by exposure to sun. “To know if you have dehydration or not look at the colour of your urine. The yellow colour of urine in summer is a symptom of dehydration,” said Dr Satish Kumar. He said that people should protect their skin from ultra violet rays by using sunscreens. Extra exposure to sun rays can even cause skin cancer. Urinary stones are another problem people might face in summer. Drinking more water can help in preventing this complication, he said.
