Motorcity, the sole distributor of Hino trucks in Bahrain, was named the ‘Distributor Champion for 2016’ at the Hino Middle East & Africa 3S (sales, service and spare parts) Skills Contest, held at the manufacturer’s regional office in Sharjah, UAE.
The competition had both theoretical and practical challenges, which were judged by specialists from Hino Middle East and Japan, said a statement from the company.
The theoretical phase of the challenge covered sales, product knowledge and extracts from trainings conducted by Hino Middle East, it said.
Takeshi Yasuda, senior general manager, Hino Motors, said: “The annual contest aimed to recognise the abilities of the company’s work force and encourage continuous improvement as part of a commitment to attain the ultimate goal of ‘Total Support’.”
“It was the first skills contest in the region and its purpose was to assess product knowledge and sales skills in order to better serve customers,” he added.
G Arun Kumaar, assistant general manager, Motorcity, said: “Winning the award is a demonstration of our company’s continuous commitment to its customers by providing them with the world class service.”
Hino has maintained a proven record as one of the leading world class truck manufacturers, with representation and presence across the globe since 1960s. Hino trucks are well known for powerful driving performance, durability, and reliability, it stated.
