New York Times’ third-quarter revenue up 6.1%

Net income attributable to the company rose to $32.3 million in the quarter ended September 24

The New York Times Co’s revenue rose 6.1 percent in the third quarter as the newspaper company signed up more paying online readers.
It said on Wednesday net income attributable to the company rose to $32.3 million in the quarter ended September 24, from $406,000, a year earlier. On a per-share basis, the Times earned 20 cents per share.
Revenue rose to $385.6 million from $363.5 million.
