The news pan-Arab news channel Alarab has stopped broadcasting regular programs hours after its first transmission from Bahrain.
Alarab, owned by Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, said on its Twitter account that broadcasting has "stopped for technical and administrative reasons and that it will be back soon".
Bahrain's Information Affairs Authority (IAA) media director Yousef Mohammed said that programming at Al-Arab satellite channel has been temporarily suspended for administrative and technical purposes.
Based in Bahrain, the news channel took to the air earlier on Sunday.
