Al-Jazeera’s beIN Sports USA 1 and 2 will be officially launched on 1 August, Youssef Mohammad Al-Obaidly, MD of the two new sport channels, has revealed. The new channels, the MD said, will "bring to the American community a new way of watching sports, a better way, where all platforms come together to provide a truly customised and totally unprecedented depth of interactive experience to the viewer." He had been the primary English-language play-by-play announcer at GOLTV USA since 2003.
