Some 25 per cent of students at the Institute of Applied Technology (IAT) have expressed an interest in enrolling for the Japanese language courses launched in September. \"These courses have proven to be in popular demand and we expect the number to rise further,\" Dr Abdul Latif Al Shamsi, managing director of the IAT, told Gulf News. \"We launched a three-year programme to teach the Japanese language in a public school with the cooperation of Abu Dhabi Educational Zone,\" said Satoshi Matsui, general manager of Cosmo Oil Company (COC), a Japanese company. \"We then signed an agreement with Abu Dhabi Oil Company, a subsidiary of COC, and Ritsumeikan University to launch this programme.\" From / Gulf News
