The High Election Commission has contacted the Higher Education Ministry to nominate a representative at a coordination committee formed as part of preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections.

The Higher Education Ministry had once nominated late Adly Reda as representative at the coordination committee, said HEC spokesman Omar Marwan Monday.

The Ministry however did not inform the HEC about Reda's death and did not nominate a replacement, Marwan noted.
