Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs, has said that Emirati women are a symbol of compassion and generosity, who has cared for generations and taught them the love and devotion to the homeland.
In a speech marking the occasion of Emirati Women's Day, Noura Al Kaabi said that Emirati women, today, and thanks to the profound support provided by the wise leadership and generous care of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, are a model of success and excellence across all political, economic, and social realms, and are key participants in the UAE's development and prosperity.
This year's theme, 'Women are Partners in Giving', is an expression of the sacrifices made by women of the UAE in their endeavours to educate many generations on the values of giving and love for the nation, the minister added.
Al Kaabi expressed her deepest appreciation of every Emirati women who have played a role in ensuring that the word 'impossible' was not part of the nation's vernacular, and that continues to help develop the country.
"On Emirati Women's Day, we cannot forget the greatest sacrifice made by mothers of martyrs, who raised our nation's heroes to love and honour the homeland," she continued.
Al Kaabi congratulated H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak on the occasion and expressed her gratitude to Her Highness' steadfast efforts to further enhance the role of women in society, and to ensure their access to education and employment in the highest of positions, as part of the nation's continued development and progress.
