The Judiciary police of Salé (near Rabat) arrested on Monday two women for carrying 9,262 psychotropic pills, including 802 ecstasy tablets and a sum of money, suspected to be obtained from drug trafficking.

The suspects, with criminal records, were remanded in custody pending the completion of the investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor, said a statement by the national police (DGSN).

This operation is part of police efforts to combat crime, particularly drug and psychotropic trafficking.
