South Korea's leading smart mobility and payment service provider said Wednesday that it plans to launch an "Uber-like" call taxi service in the United States.
Korea Smart Card Co. (KSCC), which is mainly responsible for infrastructure and settlement for the T-money transportation card system in its home country, said it will start trial runs of the "My Towne Taxi" service in cooperation with four call taxi companies in New York and New Jersey on Monday.
