Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed El Tayyeb praised the United Arab Emirates' support for Egypt.

The Grand Imam's statements came during a meeting on Wednesday with the UAE minister of State Sultan al-Jaber, who is in charge of UAE development projects in Egypt.

The meeting tackled means to establish four buildings for female students at Al Azhar University as well other projects for Al Azhar.

For his part, Al-Jaber praised the role of Al Azhar in the world to stop the spread of extremist thought.
